Marshall wrapped up the non-district portion of their schedule with a dominating 63-7 win over Palestine at Wildcat Stadium Friday night.
The Mavericks rushed for 308 yards on the night with an additional 121 through the air for a total of 429 yards in the game.
Meanwhile the defense held the Wildcats to 86 yards rushing and 74 passing for a total of 160 yards, most of it late in the game against the Mav bench.
The first possession for Marshall was a long methodical 79 yard drive for a 7-0 lead.
Palestine answered with a 91 yard kickoff return for a score to quickly tie the game 7-7.
Another long drive for the Mavs made it 14-7 and officially marked the beginning of the onslaught.
Another 70 yards drive, including a 42 yard TD pass to Raijon Sims upped the score to 21-7 midway through the second.
The Wildcats then had a punt sail over the kicker's head and Marshall recovered at the 1 where they scored on the next play to make it 28-7.
An interception by the Mav defense just before the half turned into another score for the 35-7 lead at the break.
Marshall scored on their first possession of the third quarter to make it 42-7 as the Mav bench started to make their way into the game.
The Mavs would find the endzone three more times before the final horn would sound for the 63-7 win.
QB Alton Henderson was 7-13 for 121 yards and a TD. No interceptions.
RB Isaiah Bush had 6 carries for 62 yards and two touchdowns.
RB Semaj Gatson had 10 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown.
WR Raijon Sims had 3 receptions for 82 yards.
