Dave Campbell has tabbed the Marshall Mavericks as the #24 team in 5A Division II in the 2025 preseason poll. The football gurus have also predicted the Mavs will finish as the #2 seed in district 7-5A behind Texas High, who enter the season ranked #6. The season kicks off August 29 when Marshall travels to take on the Tyler High Lions at Rose Stadium.
