MAVERICK STADIUM

Maverick Stadium made its debut on September 12, 1980, when Marshall defeated the Corsicana Tigers 27-0.

Since that night, the Mavericks have compiled a home record of 141-76-1.

Maverick Stadium has undergone many changes in it's forty years.

The visitor's side was expanded by 2,000 seats in 1993.

In 2003, Marshall became one of the first East Texas schools to install artificial turf.  A new scoreboard was also installed.

The artificial turf was replaced in 2014 followed by a video scoreboard in 2016.

A new two-story pressbox was constructed in 2018.

In 2019 MISD purchased new lighting for Maverick Stadium as well as a new track.

2020 saw a new turf installed as well as renovations to the home and visitor restrooms.
